We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Cluster Director of Safety & Security to lead all safety, security, and risk management operations across our FNPF-owned IHG properties in Suva. This exciting cluster includes two well-known hotels across two distinct brands — the iconic Grand Pacific Hotel, currently transitioning into IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle collection, and the vibrant local favourite, Holiday Inn Suva.

As Cluster Director of Safety & Security, you will play a critical leadership role in protecting our guests, colleagues, visitors, and company assets while ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across both properties. This role requires a confident and strategic leader with strong hospitality security experience, sound operational judgement, and the ability to lead effectively in high-pressure situations. You will oversee all aspects of hotel safety and security operations, emergency preparedness, compliance, investigations, and crisis management while partnering closely with hotel leadership teams to maintain exceptional service standards and guest confidence.

A little taste of your day-to-day

  • Lead all safety and security operations across both hotels
  • Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and emergency response procedures
  • Manage incident response, investigations, crisis management, and business continuity planning
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, fire, and security regulations and company standards
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, property inspections, and security audits
  • Oversee CCTV operations, access control systems, and other security technologies
  • Lead, train, mentor, and develop the security team to maintain high operational standards
  • Promote a strong culture of workplace and guest safety across all hotel departments
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, and regulatory authorities
  • Prepare reports relating to incidents, risks, investigations, and security performance metrics
  • Support VIP visits, special events, and high-profile guest requirements as needed

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Security Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant professional certifications will be an advantage
  • Minimum five years’ experience in hotel security, hospitality operations, or corporate safety management, preferably within an international hotel brand
  • Strong understanding of hospitality security practices, emergency response, investigations, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven experience managing security teams within hotels, resorts, or large guest-service environments
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions during emergencies
  • Experience managing CCTV systems, access control platforms, and incident management systems
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Must have full working rights for Fiji
