Job Description

The Front Server provides friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, upscale service consistently to guests. Must possess the willingness to provide friendly service support to front servers while still maintaining precise and coordinated team responsibilities with the other back servers.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

  • Taking orders from guests.
  • Deliver orders to guests.
  • Answer questions from guests.
  • Organization and cleanliness of the restaurant both the front and back of the house.
  • Required to replenish the dining room items (i.e. salt/pepper, ketchup, etc.).
  • The front server works in a team atmosphere and may be required to bus tables on occasion, and clean areas of restaurant.
  • Understand and practice family style service at all times with all guest and team members.
  • All other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance.
  • Must be committed to 100% customer service!
  • Must be able to operate a point of sales device, be computer literate, and possess required math skills.
  • Must also be able to work rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs many times throughout a shift.
  • A Front Server’s position requires a variety of skills including but not limited to excellent organizational skills, communication skills, physical stamina, enthusiasm, courtesy, sincerity, initiative, and persistence.
  • One year in a food service or retail-based position preferably in food & beverage working directly with customers.
  • Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods.
  • May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Culinary degree preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
  • Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment
