Job Description

Overview: The Clubhouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of the clubhouse, which typically includes front desk, housekeeping, locker rooms, club events, facilities maintenance, and shuttle services. The manager ensures that all aspects of the club run smoothly, providing a high level of service to members and maintaining the club’s reputation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

· Oversee day-to-day clubhouse operations, including dining areas, lounges, member spaces, and club events.

· Ensure that all facilities are properly maintained, clean, and meet the needs of the members.

· Establish and maintain service standards, operating procedures, and departmental policies.

· Maintain strong relationships with members, vendors, employees, and club leadership.

· Participate in management meetings and contribute to long-term operational planning.

Staff Management:

· Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate clubhouse staff.

· Develop and implement employee training programs focused on hospitality and service excellence.

Member Relations:

· Deliver consistently high level of member and guest service.

· Handle member concerns professionally and resolve service issues promptly.

Budgeting and Financial Oversight:

· Develop and manage the clubhouse budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled and revenue goals are met.

· Monitor staffing levels, labor costs, inventory, supplies, and departmental expenses.

Marketing and Membership Recruitment:

· Support member communications, club activities, and special initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management:

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and club policies.

· Address insurance and liability issues, making sure that all operations are in line with industry’s best practices.

Requirements

· Leadership: Ability to manage a team and coordinate various departments.

· Customer Service: Focused on creating an exceptional experience for club members.

· Financial Acumen: Comfortable with budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.

· Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks and events simultaneously.

· Problem-Solving: Addressing challenges quickly and efficiently.

· Experience: A background in hospitality management, event planning, or sports management is typically preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.

· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Language:

· Required to speak, read, write English. Basic math knowledge.
