Join MOVATI’s Placement Student Program and help build a culture in-Club that delivers on the promise we make to our members – feel welcome, feel comfortable and feel healthy.

Our Placement Students bring the MOVATI Athletic brand to life by connecting members to their areas of interest and assisting them with getting the most out of the Club. This position supports all departments and promotes exceptional member experience practices throughout the Club.

We’re looking for an individual who is customer focused and enjoys administrative functions. You have a good knowledge of Health and Fitness programs and are eager to learn more. The successful candidate will be enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary program with a focus on Health and Fitness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports all departments including Front Desk, Café, Facilities, Fitness and Sales.
• Assists with special activities (i.e. cardio challenge, healthy living lecture series) on an as needed basis.
• Assists with the setup and cleanup of facilities for meetings, conferences, events, and training, as required
• Consistently adheres to all policies and procedures, strives to continuously improve Member Experience and fosters a culture that encourages proactivity and accountability.
• Develops and maintains credible, effective working relationships with employees and the community.
• Responsible for ensuring that all work areas are clean and organized. Reports any required equipment repairs to Operations Manager.

Education and Experience:

• Enrollment in a secondary or post-secondary education co-operative program. A personal interest in health, wellness and fitness is strongly preferred.
• Related industry experience is an asset (i.e. Fitness, hospitality, leisure, customer service etc.).
• Values: Promote an engaging and welcoming environment to all employees, members and visitors. Create a culture and environment consistent with company values and standards for employees and members.
