The Promontory Club is looking to fulfill vacancies for Golf Course Maintenance/Landscaping Staff – Full time Summer Seasonal.
The summer season will range from May through the end of October.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use walking and riding greens mowers, tee mowers, rough mowers, rollers, carts, push mowers and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools to maintain the golf course and club house grounds.
Hand rake and maintain bunkers.
Repair ball marks on greens and fill in divots on tees and fairways.
Operation of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Work closely with other golf course maintenance crew members to complete job assignments.
Perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance, club grounds and construction.  Raking, mowing, trimming bushes, mulching, irrigation, digging holes and clearing debris.
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management; complete safety training and certifications.
Other duties as assigned by Golf Course Superintendent.
QualificationsEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required; must be at least 18 years of age.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Previous experience working on a golf course or in landscaping is preferred but not required.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED ON JOB: Abide by Promontory policies and procedures and submit ideas for possible revision; work independently with little supervision; courteous and helpful with Promontory Club Members and employees; practice proper and timely communication among the entire golf department personnel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time; ability to spend time in an outdoor environment in the sun, rain and other conditions; ability to lift 50lbs regularly and the ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally; must be willing to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends when needed.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Wages start at $20 per hour and will be determined upon employment and will be commensurate with experience.
