Cloud System Engineer

Location: Prague

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

• Support the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and configuration of systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across networking, compute, and storage layers.
• Assist in building and managing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows to streamline application deployment.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability using tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus.
• Work closely with security teams to implement cloud governance policies and support compliance requirements.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to continuously improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with development, product, and architecture teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application needs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience managing cloud environments, preferably in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience of Linux and Windows system administration in a cloud context.
• Experience with automation and configuration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Experience with containers and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience of networking concepts including load balancing, DNS, firewalls, and VPNs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar.
• Experience with service mesh, cloud-native observability stacks, and zero-trust security models.
• Experience working in regulated industries or on solutions requiring high availability and disaster recovery.
