Cloud Solutions Engineer (Azure)

We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Cloud Solutions Engineer to join our clients Information, Communications, and Technology (ICT) team. As a key member of the ICT team, you'll have an exciting opportunity to shape, build, and bring to life practical business solutions, leveraging a diverse range of technical applications within our clients Global ICT framework.

Your role as a Cloud Solutions Engineer will cover the entire journey of solution development, from brainstorming creative designs to seamless implementation. Your expertise and support will play a crucial role in empowering our clients business and driving innovation forward.

The Role:

• Collaborate with the technical architect to analyse, design, and implement Azure IaaS solutions that meet business requirements.
• Support proof of concept and production deployments of cloud technologies.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfers to the Service Desk and Infrastructure Teams.
• Identify new and beneficial technologies for the Business and ICT Teams.
• Implement cloud-specific security policies, standards, and procedures, such as Azure tenant management, configuration, enterprise apps, SSO, and conditional access management.
• Actively participate in project meetings, offering technical solutions to project challenges.
• Collaborate with the Service Desk and Infrastructure teams to address IT problem tickets following the ITIL framework.
• Manage multiple tasks, ensuring timely completion, and provide regular progress updates in project planning meetings.
• Develop a solid understanding of business systems, including Azure and Microsoft 365, and utilize this knowledge to enhance efficiencies.

The Person:

• Hold Microsoft Azure Administrator certification (AZ-104).
• Possess at least 3 years of experience in an Azure system administration or engineering role.
• Skilled in automating tasks and managing Microsoft environments using PowerShell.
• Proficient in Azure IaaS, Windows Server, and Azure AD.
• Familiar with security and compliance best practices in Azure, including IAM, RBAC, network security, and Azure resources data plane security.
• Produce technical low-level design documentation for the Infrastructure and Service Desk teams.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous technical development within Microsofts technology stack.
• Highly motivated and quick learner in a challenging and dynamic team environment.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
• Understanding of project delivery and service delivery methodologies PRINCE 2 and ITIL experience is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail.
