As a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) – SharePoint in Microsoft Global Delivery, you will provide deep technical expertise across SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, and hybrid environments, supporting enterprise customers through architecture design, deployment, migration, troubleshooting, and optimization.

You will work with complex, large‑scale SharePoint environments, helping customers modernize, secure, and scale their collaboration platforms while ensuring reliability, performance, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical authority for Enterprise SharePoint environments within Global Delivery engagements
  • Design and validate SharePoint architectures and topologies, including multi‑farm and hybrid scenarios
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot SharePoint Service Applications
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to:
    • SharePoint authentication providers
    • Performance and availability
    • Zero‑downtime patching
  • Manage and support:
    • Enterprise SharePoint Server environments
    • Scaling and capacity planning for large deployments
  • Plan and execute:
    • Upgrades between SharePoint versions
    • Disaster Recovery scenarios
    • Migrations to SharePoint Online
  • Configure and support SharePoint Hybrid solutions
  • Provide hands‑on guidance for:
    • Site and list creation
    • Permissions and access management
  • Support Microsoft 365 integration, including:
    • SharePoint Online
    • OneDrive
    • Information Protection
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality Global Delivery outcomes

Required Technical Skills

Experience in one or more of the following areas is required:

  • SharePoint architecture and topology
  • SharePoint Service Applications
  • SharePoint troubleshooting (on‑prem and hybrid)
  • SharePoint authentication providers
  • Zero‑downtime patching
  • SharePoint fundamentals (sites, lists, permissions)
  • SharePoint Disaster Recovery scenarios
  • Upgrading between SharePoint versions
  • Managing, maintaining, and migrating Enterprise SharePoint Server
  • Scaling Enterprise SharePoint environments
  • Configuring SharePoint Hybrid solutions
  • Migrating to SharePoint Online

Desirable / Supporting Skills

Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:

  • Active Directory (domains, trusts, forests, LDAP, Kerberos)
  • AD Security (groups, permissions, authentication)
  • Network protocols (TCP/IP, packets, frames, traffic analysis)
  • DNS
  • SQL Server (as it relates to SharePoint)
  • IIS architecture and troubleshooting:
    • HTTP/HTTPS
    • SSL
    • IIS bindings
    • ISAPI filters
    • HTTP handlers and modules
  • IIS and Windows troubleshooting tools:
    • Netmon, Fiddler
    • MMC, PerfMon, Event Viewer, Registry
    • Sysinternals, WinDbg
  • Understanding how Microsoft 365 platform components interact with SharePoint Online
  • Configuring:
    • SharePoint Online deployments
    • OneDrive deployments
  • Information Protection in Microsoft 365
