Job Description

Leidos had a career opening for a Cloud Solution Architect / Engineer.

Our capability incubation team is a specialized, agile unit within our CTO team focused on rapidly conducting proof of concepts, developing, testing, and maturing new business concepts and technologies. It bridges the gap between ideation and formal validation before integration ready for production deployment using iterative short-cycles (2–4 weeks on average, 1-3 months for larger projects).

Key Responsibilities include
Exploring solution options to solve the defined problems / opportunities
Identifying and exploring industry solutions
Recommending a solution approach and / or industry tools
Documenting the assessment method and evaluation results
•Developing the High-Level Designs
•Architect hybrid-cloud solutions
•Develop High-Level Designs engineering and operations team will utilize
•Evaluating new technologies and staying current with a broad range of industry solutions
•Onboarding POC vendors including but not limited to risk assessment, compliance assessment and remediation plans/ investments required to make the solution viable
•Deployment of green- and brown-field cloud environments in both AWS and Azure across both commercial and government platforms
•Design of enterprise-scale cloud migrations, including multi-terabyte data transfers with over-the-wire delta syncing to ensure minimal downtime
•Developer-focused mindset enabling custom integrations with tools such as Okta, GitHub, and Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning
•Strong requirements gathering and understanding skills driving the design of large systems for global use
•Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders enabling consistent messaging and detailed requirements
•Global cloud deployment of multiple levels (GCC, GovCloud, Commercial, etc)

Experience
•BS degree and 8+ years of experience. Additional years experience ay be used in lie of a degree.
•5+ years’ experience designing new solutions and 10+ industry experience
•Background as an engineer
•Health industry experiences an advantage
•Cloud multi-governance level experience (GCC, GovCloud, Commercial, etc)
•Azure and AWS experience

Pay Range:

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
