We are looking a Cloud Solution Architect, you will provide deep technical expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), supporting enterprise customers through design, deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization of modern virtual desktop and application delivery solutions.

You will work closely with customers and internal delivery teams to resolve complex end‑user computing (EUC) challenges across cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and high‑performance virtual desktop experiences aligned with Microsoft best practices.

Cloud Solution Architect – Azure Virtual Desktop

As a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) in Microsoft Global Delivery, you will provide deep technical expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), supporting enterprise customers through design, deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization of modern virtual desktop and application delivery solutions.

You will work closely with customers and internal delivery teams to resolve complex end‑user computing (EUC)challenges across cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and high‑performance virtual desktop experiences aligned with Microsoft best practices.

Note: This position requires fluency in both Italian and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a technical authority for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)and Windows virtual desktop architectures
• Design, deploy, and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including:
  • Host pools (pooled and personal)
  • Windows 10/11 multi‑session
  • Session host scaling and availability
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
  • User connectivity and session performance
  • FSLogix profile containers
  • User profile and data management
  • Application delivery and compatibility
• Support identity and access integration using:
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Hybrid identity scenarios (on‑prem AD + Entra ID)
  • Conditional Access and authentication flows
• Analyze and remediate issues involving:
  • AVD networking(VNETs, DNS, routing, latency)
  • Azure compute and storageused by session hosts
  • Windows OS internals, including event logs, performance counters, and registry
• Integrate AVD with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Managerfor device and policy management
• Apply strong security principlesto virtual desktop environments, including identity, access control, and endpoint protection
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high‑quality, repeatable solutionsaligned with Global Delivery standards
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and operational excellenceinitiatives

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop
• Proven experience designing and supporting:
  • Host pools, session hosts, and application groups
  • Windows 10/11 Enterprise (multi‑session)
• Deep understanding of:
  • FSLogix profiles and Office containers
  • User profile management and performance optimization
• Solid knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)and hybrid identity
  • Authentication and authorization concepts
  • Azure networking fundamentals(DNS, VNETs, routing, NSGs)
• Experience troubleshooting:
  • Slow logon / logoff scenarios
  • Session instability and application issues
• Strong familiarity with:
  • Windows OS internals
  • Performance monitoring, event logs, and registry analysis
• Experience with Azure IaaS componentsused by AVD (VMs, disks, storage accounts)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Enterprise support or delivery environments
• Exposure to End‑User Computing (EUC)or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions
• Familiarity with:
  • Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
  • Security features such as Conditional Access and Defender
• Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysisskills
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
