Associate Engineer – Cloud Service Operations

Your Team

• You will be part of a team responsible for supporting the technical deliveries of the PTC Cloud delivery functions and contributing to continuous improvement of the PTC Cloud Portfolio Solutions.

• At this level, you are developing critical job competencies in PTC Products, platform software, and public cloud fundamentals. You work on tasks of limited to moderately complex scope using judgment within defined practices and procedures and consult senior staff on more complex technical areas.

• This team based in India works closely with cross-functional group of professionals across the globe.

Day to Day activities:

• Assist with installation and configuration of PTC Application Software and approved 3rdParty Software (for example COGNOS, SolidWorks, etc.) by following documented runbooks, checklists, and change controls.

• Support the execution of customer change packages under a coaching-style management approach; identify risks, follow escalation paths, and raise blockers promptly.

• Perform basic validation of compatibility between PTC Applications and supporting 3rdParty Software using defined test steps;capture results and deviations clearly.

• Execute standard procedures to deploy PTC Applications andsupporting3rdParty Software; maintain accurate work notes and suggest runbook improvements based on learnings.

• Troubleshoot common issues (logs, service health, connectivity), partner with senior engineers for complex incidents and document actions, findings, and next steps.

• Support rehost/refresh activities by executing assigned steps, coordinating checkpoints, and completing post-change smoke tests as defined.

• Setupand configure LDAP and SSO for hosted applications; escalate design decisions and non-standard changes for review.

Preferred Experience:

• Education Qualification – B.E/B.TechMCA/M.E/M.Tech

• 0–2 years of relevant experience (including internships/co-ops) with Linux fundamentals and basic administration tasks.

• Exposure to Windchill PLM (or similar enterprise applications) and demonstrated ability to learn new products and processes quickly.

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, Google) and core concepts such ascompute, storage, containers, networking, IAM, and monitoring.

• Familiarity with basic databases and SQL fundamentals (for example PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL) including users/roles, connectivity, and basic troubleshooting.

• Exposure to a programming language such as Java and ability to read/understand code, application logs

• Good understanding of Linux system administration, bash scripting, file systems, networking concepts.

• Familiarity with web hosting technologies (for example HTTP Server/Apache), basic web concepts (HTTP/HTTPS), and certificate/SSL fundamentals.

• Basic understanding of ITIL; ability to follow defined practices and procedures, communicate status clearly, and escalate appropriately.
