Cloud Platform and Foundational Infrastructure

As part of Core Engineering at Goldman Sachs, the team is responsible for enabling the use of public cloud services across the firm. The organization is seeking a highly collaborative, creative, and intellectually curious program manager who is passionate about developing and implementing cutting-edge processes and solutions. Key Responsibilities:

As a Cloud Resiliency Governance Program Manager in our global Cloud Platform Foundational Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for overseeing the adherence of applications to resiliency requirements, understanding our customers’ needs, business goals, product roadmaps as well as contribute to a risk focused engineering culture within the team. The aim of the program is to ensure all cloud deployments have the appropriate level of resilience in place based on the application’s purpose and requirements.

  • Align resiliency requirements to regulatory expectation, roadmaps and long-term business goals. Develop and maintain project reporting and dashboards. Communicate with key stakeholders on progress and compliance. Ensure teams are working to complete tasks on time.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and communicate program risks. Manage complex inter-team dependencies to prevent bottlenecks and ensure high-confidence delivery dates.
  • Work with global leadership and business stakeholders to prioritize deliverables and streamline resiliency requirement compliance
  • Partner with application teams to mitigate resiliency challenges with the migration of workloads to cloud platforms.
  • Advocate best practices for public cloud application resiliency requirements across the firm.
  • Engage with the firmwide Engineering organization to create and deliver scalable, compliant and performant solutions that expedite cloud resiliency compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field of study.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years specifically focused on IT.
  • Ability to independently deliver on Product Roadmap, Operational Stability, and Execution Strategy.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand technical concepts to effectively communicate with engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including demonstrable experience analyzing data (e.g., utilizing Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, QlikView, etc.)
  • A very strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and partner with others.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a self-directed, energetic, and self-motivated approach to work.
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals, meet deadlines, and effectively communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
  • Work experience with one or more of the major cloud platforms, though exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google would be advantageous.
