Your area of work

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) area is at the heart of the Information Technology division of Deutsche Börse Group. The CTO area develops and operates the group-wide IT infrastructure (network, data centers and Cloud), the Group Data & Advanced Analytics and the Enterprise Architecture which significantly contribute to Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy. The CTO area drives digital transformation and leverages innovation while keeping production operations stable are the core pillars of the shared services

Within the CTO Area, Cloud / Core Infrastructure department enables the usage of public cloud services from Google and Microsoft and provides core infrastructure services such as data center management and non-trading network operations.

You will strengthen the risk management, compliance, and governance foundations of modern technologies and infrastructure in a highly regulated capital markets environment, ensuring secure innovation and supporting Deutsche Börse Group’s overall strategic objectives

Your responsibilities

  • Define and maintain cloud governance frameworks and mandatory security controls for GCP and Azure.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with regulatory and internal security requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and monitor cloud risks, coordinate mitigation across teams.
  • Lead preparations for internal/external audits and manage evidence collection.
  • Maintain clear, auditready documentation and contribute to security knowledge sharing.
  • Coordinate remediation of compliance gaps and audit findings with engineering and operational teams.
  • Provide expert guidance to product and platform teams on compliant cloud usage.
  • Work closely with Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Platform Development, and Product IT teams

Your profile

  • University degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related technical discipline
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, preferably with direct involvement in cloud security and governance, risk assessment, or compliance functions
  • Deep expertise in information security principles, frameworks, controls, and best practices
  • Robust knowledge of IT and cloud computing concepts, with practical exposure to GCP and Azure
  • Strong curiosity and proactive engagement with emerging cloud technologies
  • Excellent organizational skills, communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset
  • Independent, structured working style with strong ownership and commitment to quality
