About this opportunity:

Ericsson is developing the Sensing Control Function, a new cloud-based product that will support emerging 6G sensing capabilities. It will coordinate sensing across the radio network, process information in real time and enable services such as environment mapping, vehicle detection and digital twins.

You will join a diverse engineering team building the product from the ground up using Go, Kubernetes and Ericsson’s Application Development Platform. This is an opportunity to help shape the product’s architecture, engineering practices and technical direction.

The role is based at Ericsson’s office in Kista, Stockholm, with regular on-site presence to support collaboration.

What you will do:

  • Design, develop and maintain reliable, testable software for a distributed, real-time network control function.
  • Build and integrate cloud-based services using Go, Kubernetes and service-based architecture.
  • Develop solutions that process signalling data across multiple network nodes.
  • Create and maintain delivery pipelines, automated tests and production-ready deployments.
  • Contribute to architecture and technical decisions from the early stages of product development.
  • Use specification-led and AI-supported development practices to improve software quality and productivity.
  • Collaborate with software, radio and systems specialists across Ericsson.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, helping establish effective engineering practices.

The skills you bring:

  • Strong software engineering skills, with experience developing reliable and testable production software.
  • Professional experience with Go.
  • Experience with containers, Kubernetes and service-based systems.
  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery and automated testing.
  • Experience taking technical ownership and supporting the development of colleagues.
  • Knowledge of Ericsson’s Application Development Platform or a similar cloud-based platform.
  • Understanding of distributed systems designed for high throughput and low delay.
  • Experience with real-time systems, signalling protocols or telecommunications network functions.
  • Knowledge of Python for automation, tooling or testing.
  • Familiarity with Helm, service networking or monitoring technologies.
  • Awareness of AI-supported development or specification-led engineering.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP standards or radio network architecture is an advantage.
  • A collaborative approach, willingness to learn and ability to share knowledge.
