Department Overview
Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions.
The Technology Architect (TA) holds primary responsibility and
accountability for technology planning and architecture within a
specific technology domain. This role works in partnership with
stakeholders such as business architects, solutions architects, other
technology architects and associated operations and functional areas to
establish strategic direction and relevant reference architectures,
technology standards and design patterns. Acts as a thought leader and
information source for their designated domain. The domains of Business,
Information, Applications and Technology are all considered by the
technology architect; with an emphasis on technology. Overall risk
mitigation and total cost of ownership are managed from an enterprise
standpoint. Sub-domain and platform TA’s are under the overall guidance
of the Enterprise TA’s and all architects participate in the overall IT
Architecture Practice regardless of their location in the IT
organization.
