About the Team
The Global Cloud Core Team is responsible for designing, building, and operating ZF's enterprise cloud platforms, with a strong focus on standardization, automation, and operational excellence. Working within a global follow-the-sun model, the team collaborates closely with cloud, infrastructure, network, identity, security, and application teams across multiple regions to deliver reliable and scalable cloud services.
What you can look forward to as Cloud Expert (Alibaba Cloud) (m/f/d):
- Design, build, and operate enterprise-scale cloud platforms with a primary focus on Alibaba Cloud, ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Manage and optimize Alibaba Cloud services, including ECS, OSS, RDS, networking, monitoring, logging, and cloud-native services, while collaborating with Identity and Security teams on platform integrations and governance requirements.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using technologies such as Terraform, OpenTofu, and Ansible to automate provisioning, configuration management, and lifecycle operations.
- Drive cloud automation initiatives and CI/CD best practices to enable secure, efficient, and repeatable deployments across global cloud environments.
- Define, implement, and continuously improve global cloud standards, landing zones, platform blueprints, reusable services, and engineering best practices.
- Ensure high availability, resilience, backup, disaster recovery, observability, and service continuity across cloud platforms through monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with global teams within a follow-the-sun operating model and work closely with infrastructure, application, network, and security teams to deliver integrated cloud solutions.
- Evaluate and implement emerging cloud, cloud-native, AI, and platform engineering technologies while providing technical leadership, mentoring, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the cloud engineering community.
Your profile as Cloud Expert (Alibaba Cloud) (m/f/d):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Several years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating enterprise cloud environments, preferably within multinational organizations.
- Strong expertise in Alibaba Cloud services, architectures, operational best practices, and enterprise cloud platform operations.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation technologies, CI/CD platforms, Git-based development workflows, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, enterprise cloud architectures, governance models, and standardization principles within large global organizations.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies, container platforms, Kubernetes, and platform engineering concepts; experience withAWS and Microsoft Azure is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in global, multicultural, and distributed teams.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills; Alibaba Cloud Professional or Expert certifications are highly desirable.
