We are seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to join the Pfizer Digital hub in Thessaloniki, Greece. This is an early career, individual contributor role designed for engineers looking to build foundational cloud engineering skills while working within a global, enterprise cloud platform organization.
The role provides hands-on exposure to modern cloud technologies, infrastructure as code, automation, and cloud native services, while offering strong mentorship and development opportunities within the Cloud Engineering team.
Pfizer seeks individuals who are curious, highly motivated, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in cloud engineering and modern infrastructure practices.
Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure under guidance from senior engineers
Assist with building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or similar
Support cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP in alignment with global standards
Contribute to automation scripts and tooling to improve reliability and efficiency
Assist in troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and supporting incident resolution activities
Collaborate with senior cloud engineers and application teams on infrastructure requirements
Follow established engineering, security, and compliance standards
Continuously learn cloud platforms, tooling, and best practices through hands-on experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience
0–2 years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or software engineering roles (including internships or graduate roles)
Foundational understanding of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Basic familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools (Terraform or similar preferred)
Introductory scripting or programming experience (Python preferred)
Strong problem solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast paced environment
Ability to work effectively within a team and follow established processes
Exposure to Linux, networking fundamentals, and basic security concepts; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps concepts; academic projects or internships involving cloud platforms or automation; entrylevel cloud certifications or active pursuit of certification.
