Job Title: Cloud Engineer III

We are seeking a seasoned CloudEngineer to join our agile Cloud Management team. This role is responsible for design and implementation of a continuous delivery cloud governance and enablement framework across multiple commercial cloud service providers using modern CICD toolkit like Terraform, Ansible, Python, Go

You will be part of the Cloud & Service Management organization tasked with modernization and improvement of cloud estate management while ensuring security, repeatability, and speed of delivery

This is a hands-on role with ownership of both solution delivery and platform best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Management

  • Design and maintain cloud governance and enablement services across heterogeneous cloud estate spanning Amazon, Microsoft, Google and IBM cloud service providers

  • Maintain cloud estate integrations across observability and security platforms

  • Translate security and governance requirements into cloud provider policy language

  • Hardening and distribution of approved virtual machine images across the enterprise

  • Manage ingress protection services such as WAF/DDoS

  • Design and curate log aggregation/streaming to SEIM platforms

  • Support new account intake workflow across cloud providers

  • Participate in on-call rotation, monitoring cloud management ecosystem availability and performance

Platform Governance & Operations

  • Define and maintain environment promotion strategies for cloud provider estates

  • Establish governance standards to prevent platform sprawl and security incidents

  • Partner with security and technology teams on scoping and rollout of access control policies

  • Design and implement agentic workflows that assist with cloud governance tasks

  • Provide guidance and enablement to analysts and platform developers

Technical Depth

  • Display deep technical knowledge across multiple competence domains including cloud computing, networking, security, and automation

  • Demonstrate ability to design durable patterns for cloud estate management

Automation & Innovation

  • Build and maintain cloud management continuous delivery workflows

  • Develop tools and applications in support of business requirements

  • Continually propose and implement automation solutions that elevate operational efficiency

  • Implement error handling, logging, and operational support patterns

  • Modernize cloud operations using agentic automation and AI/ML-driven insights

Learning & Adaptability

  • Remain updated on industry trends and emerging technologies

  • Showcase the ability to adapt and learn quickly

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Translate new business requirements into scalable technical solutions

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Google and IBM commercial cloud service providers

  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices

  • Contribute to platform roadmap and continuous improvement efforts

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering or equivalent

  • 5+ years of experience in software/infrastructure as code development

  • 3+ years of hands-on cloud engineering and development

  • Working knowledge of Google and IBM cloud service providers

  • Experience managing heterogeneous cloud estate environments with focus on security and scalability

  • Strong understanding of data security and governance patterns for cloud estate management

  • High-level of cross-collaboration with internal customers/partners

  • Ability to work across many levels of engineers and management

  • Experience building and operating automation patterns that rely on AI/ML or agentic workflows

  • Hands-on experience with:

  • Terraform

  • Ansible

  • Python

  • Go

  • Bash

  • Cloud Shell/Provider APIs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong familiarity with Amazon and Microsoft cloud service providers

  • Experience designing enterprise-scale solutions

  • Experience working in a Center of Excellence (CoE) model

  • Working knowledge of governance and guardrail patterns for agentic workflows

  • Familiarity with:

  • Power Shell

  • Terragrunt

  • JavascriptNode
