This is a 6- month fixed term opportunity.

Your opportunity

Reporting into the IT Infrastructure Manager, you'll be responsible for the implementation, management and optimisation of Anglicare's Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. You'll contribute to cloud transformation initiatives, strengthen security and compliance, and ensure our cloud services remain reliable, secure and fit for future growth.

With integrity and a service-focused mindset, you will:

  • Implement, support and optimise cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, storage, networking and platform services.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
  • Manage and support Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity solutions and conditional access policies.
  • Monitor cloud performance, availability, capacity and costs, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security controls, compliance frameworks and governance standards.
  • Develop automation solutions using PowerShell and cloud-native tooling.
  • Support cloud migration projects and the ongoing modernisation of infrastructure platforms.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide level 2/3 support and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.

What you'll bring

You're a technically capable Cloud Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, learning new technologies and working collaboratively to deliver secure, reliable and scalable solutions.

You will also need:

  • Demonstrated experience working as a Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or similar cloud-focused role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, identity management and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience implementing cloud security and compliance controls, including MFA and Conditional Access.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline.

Highly desirable

  • Microsoft Azure certifications.
  • Experience with Intune, Autopilot and endpoint management.
  • Experience with cloud migration and transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management practices.
  • Experience working within large enterprise or complex environments.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
