In this role, you will:

Reporting into the Senior Manager of Infrastructure ( *SCATS), the Cloud Ops Developer will be responsible for assisting devops and development teams with tasks in relation to the design and development of cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily built upon cloud computing services and open-source frameworks. Working in a cross-functional team, the role will support developers in the delivery of technology solutions using continuous delivery methodologies, with a focus on test driven development and automation.

Duties and responsibilities will include (not limited to):

  • Collaborating within a project team to streamline workflows and release processes supporting cloud infrastructure design, build and maintenance
  • Analysing issues to support the development of high‑quality, secure and robust infrastructure and software solutions
  • Monitoring system capabilities and diagnostics to maintain business continuity and maximise application uptime
  • Conducting code reviews and analysis to identify issues and ensure consistency, efficiency and reliability of new software and infrastructure
  • Supporting deployment of component packages and applications to ensure successful imports across environments

About You:

For you to be successful within this role you should meet with all, or most of the following criteria:

  • 1-2 years’ experience gained in a similar role, as described above
  • Completed a technology focused degree, or demonstrated equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to work within a complex operating environment delivering crucial software solutions to the community, and managing potentially conflicting development cycles and deliverables
  • Capable of working within infrastructure environments with immutable servers and infrastructure as code using CI/CD pipelines and principles

This is a fixed-term flexible hybrid role up until 30 November 2027 Working from the office on Wednesdays until July, then Wednesday and one other day thereafter. This role will be based from our offices at Pitt Street, Sydney CBD This is a Grade 7, salary range of $121,175.00 - $135,716.00 + super
