Senior Cloud Developer
Glasgow
As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will participate in the design and implementation of Juno, the wholesale credit risk reporting application. In addition to this, you lead the build out of the core components involved in re-engineering the platform on cloud and on-prem. You will also be responsible for the design and implementation of effective code, with unit tests incorporated.

Hybrid Working 
We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances

What will you be doing?
•    Participating in the design and implementation of Juno the wholesale credit risk reporting application
•    Building Infrastructure as Code AWS
•    Building ETL flows using Glue
•    Leading the build out of the core components involved in re-engineering the platform on cloud and on-prem
•    Designing and implementing effective and performant code with unit tests incorporated.
•    Performing detailed analysis on technical and functional requirements
•    Liaising effectively and independently with business analysts and architecture team
•    Writing technical design documents adhering to predefined standards
What we’re looking for:
•    Experience of working on large enterprise projects
•    Proven hands-on expertise in IT development with server-side languages like Java and Scala
•    Hands-on experience with Cloud Platform Providers like AWS and experience in deploying infrastructure on the cloud
•    Hands-on experience with building RESTful APIs
Skills that will help you in the role:
•    General understanding of the financial markets and environment
•    Willingness and capacity to learn complex financial concepts
