Job Description

Imagine a future where data powers smarter decisions across the green energy transition through a modern cloud-based data platform.

Join us in this role where you’ll help shape and operate Ørsted’s enterprise data warehouse platform while contributing to a major transformation from Microsoft Azure to AWS. You’ll combine platform engineering, data warehousing, and optimisation expertise to ensure high-quality, reliable data is available across the organisation, while influencing the future architecture of our cloud data landscape.

Welcome to Data Warehouse Platform Engineering
You’ll be part of the Data Warehouse team where you, together with your colleagues, will maintain and evolve Ørsted’s enterprise data warehouse platform. The team supports data engineers across the organisation by providing a reliable, scalable platform, ensuring performance, availability, and operational excellence. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers, and product teams while helping drive the migration from Azure to AWS.
As a team, we collaborate openly, share knowledge, and support each other in solving complex challenges. We value curiosity, continuous improvement, and creating solutions that make a lasting impact.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • maintaining and optimising Ørsted’s enterprise data warehouse platform

  • supporting the migration of data warehouse capabilities from Microsoft Azure to AWS

  • building, improving, and supporting data pipelines and data warehouse workloads

  • monitoring platform performance and identifying opportunities for optimisation and cost efficiency

  • enabling and supporting data engineers across the organisation in delivering high-quality data solutions

  • applying data warehousing best practices, troubleshooting incidents, and contributing to platform reliability and continuous improvement.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have experience working with data warehousing concepts, platforms, and data modelling techniques

  • have worked with cloud-based data platforms, preferably within AWS environments such as Redshift and related services

  • can design, develop, and support data pipelines and large-scale data workloads

  • understand performance optimisation, monitoring, and operational support within a data platform environment

  • can collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and stakeholders across a large organisation

  • have completed a degree within computer science, software engineering, data engineering, or equivalent experience.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
