About the team manager

Tomáš Karas is a senior manager who leads our team of data experts and business intelligence projects. On projects, he works as a data architect and project manager in one and, together with his teams, helps build large data warehouses, or uses data to simplify and automate processes, thus saving our clients 1000 days of boring operational work. When he is not working, you can either see him with the team somewhere after work for a drink, or he takes care of a small home zoo, including two children and about 80 guinea pigs from their family farm.

As a Cloud Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms for our clients. Based in a collaborative environment, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful migration and optimization of data solutions. Your expertise in Databricks and Snowflake will be essential as you lead the delivery team in creating efficient and cost-effective cloud architectures.

• Designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms using Databricks, Snowflake, and GCP.
• Leading the migration of on-premise data warehouses to cloud data platforms.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Optimizing performance and cost efficiency of cloud data solutions.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to the delivery team.
• Staying current with industry trends and best practices in cloud data architecture.

Requirement of the role

• University degree.
• Deep understanding of Databricks and Snowflake platforms.
• Experience in cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Proven experience with migration from on-premise data warehouses to cloud data platforms.
• Strong background in data engineering.
• Ability to optimize performance and cost efficiency in cloud data platforms.
• Open to leading a delivery team for implementation projects.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
