Job Description

Cloud Consultant

The primary responsibility of the Cloud Consultant: Cloud Consultant is to consult with the client and work with internal teams to create strategies, transformational designs and the architectural vision for highly complex solutions that address the clients needs.

They provide multi-technology consulting services on all aspects of hybrid cloud infrastructure and related technology components.

Provides primarily pre-sales strategy for the development and implementation of complex solutions.

Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations

Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant IT field
  • Relevant Hyperscaler Cloud Service Provider, OEM, or other related cloud certifications
  • Certified Management Consultant (CMC) advantageous
  • Relevant industry-specific accreditations and/or affiliations

Requirements:

  • Contributes to the development of highly complex solution architectures within the hybrid cloud domain.
  • Accountable for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
  • Responsible for reviewing strategies and addressing a clients cloud strategy and needs by providing recommendations.
  • Use extensive experience identifying and analysing client problems providing the Company with opportunities for market share.
  • Produces specifications of cloud-based or on-premises components, tiers and interfaces, for translation into detailed designs using selected services and products.
  • Outline the end-to-end solution set to enable the clients cloud and business transformation journey.
  • Continuously search for opportunities to innovate solutions for the client thereby improving the clients business and ensuring business development for the Company.
  • Proactively support client-facing workshops by collecting, reviewing, and analysing both IT and business issues.
  • Review and update roadmap documents and business cases.
  • Undertake regular reviews to ensure outcomes are aligned to agreed deliverables.
  • Maintain knowledge by staying abreast of current trends and best practices

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Comprehensive domain/industry expertise coupled with consulting and client engagement experience, demonstrating good experience in client needs assessment and change management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs.
  • Excellent understanding of cloud transformation coupled with strategic thinking ability.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • The ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of business transformations.
  • Extensive knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures (Private, Public, On-Premise etc.)
  • Ability to focus on detail with an understanding of how it impacts the business strategically.
  • Excellent client service orientation.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of business.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops with level clients.
