Job Description

As Cloud Architecture & Operations Lead at Livello, you will own the design, evolution, and day-to-day operation of Livello’s cloud platform that powers our connected smart kiosks. You will combine strategic architectural leadership with hands-on operational responsibility, ensuring the platform reliably supports the autonomous retail experiences our clients offer to their users.

Operating at the intersection of cloud architecture, platform engineering, and live operations, you will play a critical role in maintaining secure, resilient, and scalable systems that directly impact product reliability, security, operational efficiency, and the speed at which Livello can innovate.

Tasks

• Establish and enforce cloud security policies, including certificate lifecycle management, access controls, and operational compliance.
• Lead the modernization of the organization’s authorization services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with current security standards.
• Design and implement a new inter-process communication broker to enable efficient, resilient communication across the entire infrastructure.
• Assess, refine, and standardize application deployment processes to increase consistency, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Define and maintain redundancy and high-availability strategies for critical cloud components and services.
• Develop management capabilities within the backend to centrally operate cloud components such as authentication services, messaging systems, and databases.

Requirements

• A valid full-time work permit for Germany is required for this position.
• Proficiency in Ansible for automation, orchestration, and configuration management.
• 2 years minimum practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, with the ability to design and operate production workloads.
• Solid command of Kubernetes for container orchestration, workload design, and cluster operations.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted programming practices to increase development velocity and reliability.
