
Cloud Architect – Healthcare Software
The Cloud Architect drives the modernization of healthcare software products by helping engineering teams transform existingon-premisesand legacy applications into scalable, secure,and maintainable cloud solutions.
This is a hands-on architecture role. You work closely with software engineers and product teams to make architectural decisions, guide implementation, review technical solutions,and remove obstacles during the transformation journey. You combine architectural thinking with practical engineering experience and help teams deliver modern cloud-native solutions on AWS and Azure whereappropriate
You understand that successful cloud transformation is more than migrating workloads. It requires modern software architecture, automation, platform capabilities,and sustainable engineering practices that allow products to evolve over time while meeting healthcare quality and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Lead architecture and technical direction for cloud transformation and application modernization initiatives.
Define practical target architectures for healthcare software products and guide teams in implementing them.
Work closely with development teams to modernize legacy and monolithic applications into modular, cloud-enabled solutions.
Make architectural decisions together with engineers and actively support implementation where needed.
Evaluate cloud services, platformcapabilitiesand architectural patterns for AWS and Microsoft Azure.
Balancescalability, security, performance,costand regulatory compliance when making technical decisions.
Define reusable architecture principles, patterns and platform capabilities that accelerate future product development.
Review solution designs and implementation to ensure architectural quality and consistency.
Collaborate with Product Management, Software Development, DevOps, Quality, Cybersecurity and Regulatory teams.
Coach engineers on cloud-native architecture, software modernization and engineering best practices.
Stay involved throughout delivery to ensure architecture is successfully implemented—not only documented.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, InformationTechnologyora relatedtechnical disciplineABachelor's Degreewith equivalentadditionalprofessional experience may also be considered.
Minimum 10 yearsof professional experience in software engineering, including at least 5 yearsin a software or cloud architecture role.
Experience in regulated healthcare or medical device software development is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience with:
Architecture of enterprise or healthcare software products
Cloud transformation and application modernization
Designing and delivering cloud-native solutions on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
Modernizing legacy and monolithic applications
L eading architectural decisions across multiple product teams
Working in Agile software development environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience defining cloud transformation strategies and target architectures for complex software products.
Experience balancing businessobjectives, technical debt, regulatorycomplianceand cloud adoption.
Experience mentoring architects and senior software engineers.
Experience driving architecture from concept through implementation.
Experience with Platform Engineering,DevSecOpsand Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with Kubernetes and container-based platforms.
Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is € 78,187 –€ 130,312 . We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations.
This role is eligible for annual bonus with your rewards linked to KPIs and the company’s performance.
