What You'll Be Doing

As our Cloud Architect, you'll be the strategic force behind our cloud journey, ensuring every solution is secure, resilient, scalable, and built for the future.

Cloud Strategy & Enterprise Architecture

• 
  Define and evolve the enterprise cloud strategy, architecture standards, and governance frameworks.
• 
  Develop cloud adoption roadmaps aligned to business and technology objectives.
• 
  Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend future-ready solutions.
• 
  Establish architecture principles, reference models, and best practices across the organisation.

Solution Architecture & Transformation

• 
  Design secure, highly available, scalable cloud solutions across enterprise platforms.
• 
  Lead cloud transformation, application modernisation, AI, analytics, and digital initiatives.
• 
  Guide application, infrastructure, and data migrations from on-premise to cloud.
• 
  Review and govern solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Security, Governance & Risk

• 
  Embed security, compliance, and governance into every cloud solution.
• 
  Design cloud identity, access management, encryption, and network security architectures.
• 
  Partner with Cyber Security teams to implement best-in-class cloud security controls.
• 
  Support audit, compliance, regulatory, and risk management initiatives.

Cloud Excellence & Optimisation

• 
  Champion automation, observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• 
  Drive FinOps practices and cloud cost optimisation.
• 
  Define standards for resilience, disaster recovery, business continuity, and performance.
• 
  Continuously improve cloud platforms through optimisation and innovation.

Leadership & Collaboration

• 
  Partner with business leaders, architects, engineering teams, and technology partners.
• 
  Present architecture strategies to executive leadership and governance forums.
• 
  Mentor architects and engineering teams while promoting cloud best practices.
• 
  Influence enterprise technology decisions and shape long-term cloud capabilities.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 
  Postgraduate qualification advantageous.

Experience

• 
  8–12 years' experience within enterprise IT.
• 
  Minimum 5 years in Cloud Architecture or Enterprise Cloud Design.
• 
  Proven success designing enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
• 
  Experience leading cloud migration and application modernisation programmes.
• 
  Strong exposure to hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• 
  Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
• 
  Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or other highly regulated industry experience will be highly advantageous.
