Job Description

As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based solutions that align with our business objectives. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the successful adoption of cloud technologies and optimize cloud costs.

Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive hybrid multi-cloud strategy that supports the organization's goals and aligns with industry best practices.
2. Solution Architecture: Design and document cloud-based solutions, including infrastructure, applications, and data architectures.
3. Migration Planning: Lead the planning and execution of cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
4. Cost Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to optimize cloud costs, including rightsizing resources and leveraging cost-effective solutions.
5. Security and Compliance: Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to security and compliance standards, including data privacy regulations.
6. Automation and DevOps: Promote the adoption of automation and DevOps practices to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
7. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with cloud service providers and evaluate new technologies and services.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields
2. Experience: Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role.
3. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related technologies (e.g., virtualization, networking, storage).
4. Architecture: Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures.
5. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and find innovative solutions.
6. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. Certifications: Preferred certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect).
8. Willing to work on-site in SLMC BGC and/or QC.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

1. Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
2. Knowledge of serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
3. Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning platforms
