The Closings Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities required to successfully close new home sales. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and a seamless experience for buyers, lenders, title partners, and internal teams. Candidates with homebuilder closing experience are strongly preferred, though individuals from title companies or mortgage lenders with strong closing coordination backgrounds will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full closing process for all homes from contract to closing.
- Coordinate with sales, construction, title, and lending partners to ensure all documents and requirements are completed on time.
- Review purchase agreements, addendums, and closing packages for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain closing schedules, monitor deadlines, and proactively resolve issues that could delay closing.
- Communicate regularly with homebuyers to provide updates, collect required documentation, and ensure a smooth closing experience.
- Work closely with title companies to verify title commitments, HOA documents, surveys, and settlement statements.
- Collaborate with the title company to track loan approvals, conditions, and funding timelines.
- Update internal systems with closing milestones, documentation, and status changes.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce closing delays.
- Support post‑closing activities, including funding confirmation and internal reporting.
- Coordinate homebuyer walk throughs and home inspections
Qualifications
- Preferred: Closing management experience with a residential homebuilder.
- Considered: Closing, escrow, or funding experience from a title company or mortgage lender.
- Strong understanding of real estate contracts, closing documents, and lending requirements.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple closings simultaneously.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, closing software, Hyphen BRIX and BuildPro
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
