Job Description

CLO Deal Administration Manager

The Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) Group is a division within Corporate Trust Services. CLOs are structured finance vehicles that issue both debt and equity liabilities, with the proceeds used to purchase a portfolio of collateral.

We are seeking to appoint a CLO Deal Administration Team Manager with strong leadership capabilities and detailed knowledge of Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDOs and CLOs), Private Credit, and Loan Funds. The successful candidate will have experience onboarding new clients, managing information flow across multiple systems, cash and asset reconciliations, and loan/bond trade settlements.

This highly motivated individual will lead a team of CLO Deal Administrators and effectively manage the demands of the role as the business continues to grow.

The role holder will take ownership of all functions required within this position.

  • Manage the operational activities of the CLO Deal Administration team by planning and scheduling deliverables, coordinating with related departments, and ensuring work schedules are met.
  • Monitor team performance against agreed SLAs, KPIs, and quality measures, providing coaching, feedback, and development support to ensure individual and team objectives are achieved.
  • Oversee a portfolio of CLO, Private Credit, and Loan Fund clients, ensuring all operational deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
  • Maintain oversight of daily portfolio reporting, monthly cash and par reconciliations, loan trade and bond settlements, asset servicing activities, and exception management processes.
  • Review and approve key team deliverables, ensuring adherence to operational procedures, risk controls, and client service standards.
  • Maintain a strong risk and control environment through effective oversight of operational processes, issue management, audit requests, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage team capacity, resource allocation, and succession planning to support business growth and client service commitments.
  • Partner with Relationship Management, Analytics, Loan Administration, and other operational teams to support new client onboarding, CLO closings, resets, refinancings, amendments, and ongoing client servicing activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a senior escalation point and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Lead and support strategic initiatives focused on process optimisation, automation, and operating model enhancements.
  • Support talent development by training and mentoring junior staff and participating in recruitment and Early Careers Programmes.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to build a high-performing team.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Financial Services within a similar role, including previous experience of CLOs, Private Credit, and Loan Funds.
  • Proven leadership experience with responsibility for managing and developing teams.

Skills

  • Technical and product expertise, demonstrating a strong understanding of CLO structures and lifecycle events.
  • High level of follow-through and accountability.
  • Ability to embrace, promote, and implement change within a team environment.
  • Capacity to excel in a dynamic environment and build strong relationships across multiple business lines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage a substantial and diverse workload while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are desirable.

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week. Cherrywood Office Location
