NFI Massachusetts Inc., a private non-profit human service organization, is currently seeking a Part Time Group Leader for our Massachusetts Impaired Driver Program (MID), located in Haverhill MA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals diagnosed with substance use and hold a BA, LADAC, CADAC or Masters Degree in a relevant field with experience.

The mission of the Ambulatory Services Clinic is to provide the highest quality mental health and substance use treatment and prevention to our consumers. We accomplish this by serving all with dignity and respect in an environment that supports individuals and families in their personal development.

MID Group leader services include:

  • Leading weekly MID groups for 16 week intervals.
  • Completing documentation in computerized medical record
  • Monthly Reports to Probation Department
  • Treatment Planning with each client in group.
  • Discharge Documentation

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with collaterals and other natural supports.
  • Completion of individual treatment plan.
  • Facilitate group Services.
  • Quarterly treatment reviews.
  • Exit interviews with each client
  • Crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Harm reduction and recovery/safety planning as needed.
  • Referrals to outside communication resources.
  • Participation in Monthly Staff Meeting and Supervision

Job Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in social work or counseling or BA with relevant experience.
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorder.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and writing skills.
  • Flexible schedule as groups are generally in the evening may be required.
  • Experience with virtual services as most groups are held on Zoom or Teams.

Compensation: This position offers a service-based compensation structure. Staff are paid $80 per group facilitated and $20 per hour for administrative responsibilities, including required trainings, supervision, staff meetings, and other non-group duties.
