Job Description

The role of the Clinician Engagement Lead is to have a meaningful, measurable, positive impact on clinician engagement and revenue in the practices within their area. Through an effective partnership with their Regional Operations Managers, this role will successfully demonstrate our double helix approach to operational and clinical partnership at PortmanDentex resulting in positive outcomes for our patients, PortmanDentex and our clinical partners & associates

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clinicians to understand their clinical priorities, challenges and opportunities
  • Use your clinical expertise to mentor and develop those clinicians who have a desire for this kind of support
  • Support your operations partners to define clinical opportunities & problems to determine what success for our clinical partners and clinicians could look like. Include methods of evaluating and return on investment, product or process solution. This will involve liaising with other business functions.
  • This role will be heavily involved with other areas of the business during the design phase of intervention in a clinical advisory capacity to ensure any intervention meet the needs of our clinical partners and is fit for purpose
  • Represent both the perspective of our clinical partners and that of your operations partners to ensure interventions are operationally and strategically aligned
  • When appropriate, support your business partners to pilot or test assumptions with our clinical partners before full organisational roll out
  • Role model change leadership by engaging clinicians, removing barriers, reducing resistance and communicating positively and relentlessly
  • Continually capture clinician sentiment and intervention outcomes to assess effectiveness, regularly feedback this sentiment to your operations partner and director of clinical engagement and influence, implement and advocate necessary support or change if appropriate.
  • Demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement across all areas of clinician impact
  • Seek out opportunities to maximise revenue and take the necessary action to realise this
  • Prioritise your efforts to maximise impact
  • Regularly review your areas KPI performance and be ready to report to the director of Clinical Engagement
  • Line management responsibility for Practice Clinical Leads

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Significant dentistry experience
  • Excellent influencing ability to director level Strong communication skills, verbal, written and presentational
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • The ability to communicate complex information in a simple way
  • The ability to be successful with limited direction
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Positive clinical reputation
  • Ability to engage and create a compelling picture for a variety of stakeholders
  • Understanding of change management methodologies
  • Understanding of IR35 regulations
  • Ability to use Microsoft office programs
  • The ability to provide effective clinical mentoring

Desired

  • Previous clinical mentoring experience
  • Owning/managing your own dental practice

Additional Information

2 x days required per week, with one of these days working internally with us clinically in one of our practices.
