We are looking for an experienced and passionate Clinician to help us grow the Courage Project in Mackay. This is an opportunity to use your clinical skills to provide specialist therapeutic support to children and young people who have experienced sexual and/or physical harm, working alongside a team that is deeply committed to helping children heal.

The Courage Project provides trauma-informed mental health services to children under 14 across the Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac Regions who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, physical and/or sexual abuse or assault, family violence and self-harm.
We are looking for someone who is particularly passionate about working therapeutically with boys aged 14 - 16 who have experienced child sexual abuse, domestic and family violence and/or are at risk of using violence.
You’ll provide specialist counselling and therapeutic intervention through face-to-face, telephone and online sessions, undertake psychological and other assessments, prepare professional reports and maintain high-quality clinical records.
You’ll also work collaboratively with children, families, colleagues and other professionals to support positive outcomes for the children and young people we work with.
The role includes fortnightly overnight outreach to the Isaac and Whitsunday regions, providing services to children and families across the broader community.This is meaningful clinical work where your experience, judgement and ability to build strong therapeutic relationships can make a genuine difference.
