At Prairie View, we believe that helping youth heal requires a village. We are looking for a well-rounded Outpatient Clinician to join our dedicated Youth and Family Services team. What You’ll Do (The Impact)
As a Youth & Family Clinician, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 7–20) and their families.
- Relationship-Focused Therapy: Utilize family systems and relation-type therapies to help youth and their support systems heal and grow together.
- Collaborative Care: Partner closely with internal case managers and external community resources to ensure wraparound support for your clients.
- Comprehensive Clinical Services: Conduct assessments, make diagnoses, and design individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for individual, family, and occasional group therapy sessions.
- Outreach & Education: Share your expertise by delivering occasional educational presentations on youth mental health topics to internal teams and the community.
What We Are Looking For (
Qualifications)
- Licensure: Active professional licensure in the State of Kansas is required.

- - Independent clinical license preferred: LSCSW, LCMFT, LPC, PsyD, or PhD.

- - Under clinical supervision: Candidates with an LMSW, LMFT, or LMLP who are actively working toward independent clinical licensure are highly encouraged to apply!

- Clinical
Experience: Practicum, internship, or professional experience in outpatient youth and family behavioral health. Comfort with individual and family systems therapy is highly preferred.
- The Right Fit: Excellent communication skills, clinical intuition, and a collaborative spirit. You should be highly skilled at assessing verbal and non-verbal cues in young clients.
- Tech Savvy: Comfort navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR) and basic computer systems.
- Clearances: Ability to obtain clinical privileges and pass required background screenings (including KBI, Central Registry, and DCF).

- Productivity: Maintain an average of 24–27 client encounters per week (based on a 40-hour workweek).
- Documentation: Progress notes and evaluations must be completed within 48 business hours to maintain compliance and clinical excellence.
- Growth: Participate actively in Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives, administrative meetings, and clinical supervision.
