Job Description

This position provides comprehensive information regarding clinical trial protocols to medical and nursing staff. Responsible for evaluating and assessing eligibility of potential candidates for clinical research studies, study compliance, assessing toxicities to treatments, collecting and submitting data, assisting other research staff and principal investigators in the coordination of treatments such as laboratory studies, radiological studies and other designated procedures for protocol compliance. Serves as a clinical liaison between the research department and other patient care departments within CHH, ECCC and externally with other health care providers. Responsible for maintaining high levels of accuracy in order to assure compliance with all parties involved in monitoring clinical research activities.

The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree in Nursing required, BSN and/or MSN preferred.
  • Valid WV Registered Nurse license
  • BLS required.
  • Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred.
  • Research Certification (CCRP) preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a RN required.
  • One year of position related experience as a RN in Oncology or Research required.
  • Demonstrates effective planning and implementation of projects along with leadership and communication skills.
  • Must possess skills and competencies necessary in providing nursing care to adolescence through geriatric patients.
  • Must be able to type 40 wpm.
