Job Description

The NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing invites applications from doctorally prepared registered nurses for a clinical track (continuing contract) position, at the level of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor rank, with a start date of September 1, 2026.

Clinical-track faculty are outstanding educators who contribute to the College’s educational and scholarly initiatives with the vision and experience to advance our global mission. Clinical-track faculty at Meyers expertly teach and develop innovative new pedagogy and clinical foci across our academic programs, develop a portfolio of clinical scholarship, perform service activities at NYU, with the communities we serve, and as leaders within local, national and global professional organizations, and advocates for policy to advance health.

We seek to hire experienced educators who have an advanced practice nursing license (nurse practitioner, certified nurse midwife, clinical nurse specialist). These faculty will have demonstrated expertise in tangibly supporting student success and working across disciplines.

Priority Areas for this search include:

●Primary care adult-geriatric nurse practitioner

●Palliative Care specialization

●Pediatric Acute Care nurse practitioner

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is:

Clinical Assistant Professor - $96,000 - $146,000

Clinical Associate Professor - $115,000 - $175,000

New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Qualifications

Requirements

  1. Earned Doctorate in Nursing or Related Field (PhD or equivalent, DNP or equivalent)
  2. Experience serving as a course instructor in nursing education
  3. Current, unrestricted New York State RN License or licensed in another state with ability to obtain a New York State License by start date

Preferred

  1. Experience with curriculum or course development
  2. Demonstrated evidence of clinical scholarship consistent with Clinical Associate Professor rank
  3. Experience teaching in both small and large class size didactic courses
  4. Experience teaching graduate and undergraduate nursing students
