Clinical Therapy Director

Duties and Responsibilities

Office Responsibilities

  • Implements policies and procedures for therapy division, models and maintains standards of best practice
  • Ensures compliance with all State and Federal regulations, Medicaid/Medicare regulations, and MGA policies and procedures
  • Promotes growth of the therapy program through supervision of hiring, training and retention of quality therapists
  • Oversees therapy productivity and fosters effective management of staff and resources across therapy disciplines in conjunction with Therapy Operations Manager
  • Oversees therapy administrative support staff in conjunction with Therapy Operations Manager
  • Performs evaluations and treatment visits, maintains a small caseload to preserve clinical skills
  • Assists with data collection for chart for ongoing quality assurance and performance improvement
  • Completes annual reviews, provides guidance and support for Therapy Clinical Supervisors, and assists with counseling and corrective action plans with field staff as needed
  • Coordinates with and participates in marketing efforts for the acquisition of new referrals and recruiting of new therapists and maintaining of positive relationships with community resources
  • Provides guidance, mentorship, and education to therapy employees and community, and encourages ongoing communication to support the mission of the company
  • Communicates and collaborates with Account Manager and Senior Leadership regularly to report therapy program status
  • Oversees the creation and coordination of therapy in services and educational programs
  • Assists with coordination of precepting and training programs for therapy students
  • Other duties as assigned and discussed with Director of Clinical Services
  • Supports and executes the mission, ethics, and goals of the company effectively.
    • Represents themselves in a positive and professional manner in the company and community.
    • Adheres to dress code with a clean and neat professional appearance.
    • Reports on time and as scheduled in order to complete work within designated time.
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures outlined in Employee Handbook, Employee Agreement, or communicated from executive team.


Clinical Manager Oversight

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in an accredited Therapy discipline
  • Licensure:
  • Current State License in good standing as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Current Driver’s license and automobile insurance
  • Minimum of 5 years Professional experience as a licensed Therapist
  • Minimum of 3 years Pediatric, Supervisory and Home Health experience.
  • Skills: Clinical expertise in discipline and able to mentor others
    • Current BLS/CPR
    • Good interpersonal skills and high level of integrity
    • Team builder and team player
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
