Compensation & Benefits:

  • LSW / LPC: $64,000 - $70,000 annually
  • LISW / LPCC: $72,000 - $80,000 annually

This position entails the provision of direct therapeutic services to assigned clients with mental illness and adjustment difficulties under the supervision of an independently licensed clinician. These services are provided through individual, group and family therapy or through the diagnostic assessment process. This position also requires linkage and advocacy skills as necessary.

Key Responsibilities & Role Highlights:

  • Provides diagnostic services and assessments via face-to-face or telehealth under supervision, including DSM-based impressions and treatment recommendations.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans, establishes therapeutic relationships, and coordinates care with the treatment team.
  • Delivers therapy, CPST services, crisis intervention, case management, and group facilitation as needed.
  • Provides referrals, client education, advocacy, and linkage to community resources.
  • Documents services, clinical rationale, updates, and discharge plans in the electronic health record per agency policy.
  • Maintains client confidentiality and adheres to federal guidelines, agency policies, and departmental procedures.
  • Participates in meetings, supervision, training, and demonstrates open communication and collaboration.
  • Supports unit operations and social responsibility, including safety checks, meals, and other assigned duties.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements

  • Requires a master’s degree in social work or counseling.
  • Required CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Required CPI Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness, individual, group counseling skills, assessment skills, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge in chronic physical health issues and needs of persons who are SPMI or SED.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations.
  • Must be able to work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset and, at times, hostile individuals.
