Job Description

The following position is specific to Clinical Therapies Behavioral Health services at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This position is eligible to occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists. This position supports our Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) Outpatient Clinic, a multidisciplinary clinic that provides a variety of outpatient-level services to young children focusing equally on enhancing both global development and positive mental health through family-centered care.

Assists the coordination of daily clinical operations and the planning, evaluation, and implementation of program services. Manages and evaluates staff, ensuring quality patient care and compliance with standards and regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with the daily operations of the department, including policies and procedures, budget management, recruitment, and other administrative tasks.
  • Supervises department staff, providing clinical leadership and expertise and ensuring compliance with performance standards and external regulatory agencies. Assists with the training and continuing education of staff.
  • Performs the clinical duties of department staff, effectively interacting with patients, families, health care teams and supervised staff.
  • Participates in departmental planning, marketing and implementation of new programs. Assists with coordination of departmental performance improvement activities.
  • Serves as an advocate and liaison for department in committees and meetings and with internal and external groups.


Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in related field, required.


Licensure Requirement:

Applicable licensure, registration, and/or certification as required by professional discipline.


Certifications:

CPR certification, required. Must be received no later than 60 days post hire or 60 days post expiration.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.


Experience:

  • Three years experience in a clinical setting, required.
  • Experience in a leadership capacity, preferred.
