Salary: $75,000 annually

Mount Carmel Guild Behavioral Health System, a CARF-accredited division of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark, is a leading provider of mental health and addiction services throughout Northern New Jersey.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Team Leader to oversee our Outpatient and Partial Care programs in Jersey City, NJ. This position is ideal for a licensed behavioral health professional who combines strong clinical expertise with effective leadership, program development, and operational management skills.

About Our Programs

Our Outpatient and Partial Care departments use a multidisciplinary, person-centered approach that emphasizes individualized assessment, goal-oriented treatment planning, ongoing case review, and continuity of care.

  • Outpatient Services provide psychiatric evaluations, biopsychosocial assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, and medication management for individuals ages five and older.
  • Partial Care is a structured day-treatment program serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness who require intensive treatment and close medication monitoring to help prevent hospitalization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Outpatient and Partial Care programs, including staffing schedules, supply management, and program budgets.
  • Supervise program staff and student interns while providing ongoing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
  • Lead multidisciplinary team meetings with clinical staff, psychiatrists, and nursing professionals.
  • Prepare and maintain program statistics, performance reports, and required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with CARF, DMHAS, Medicaid, and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Monitor program outcomes and ensure established performance targets are met.
  • Develop community partnerships and coordinate services with other providers.
  • Promote program services within the community and implement strategies to increase program enrollment and census.
  • Support the continued development and expansion of Outpatient and Partial Care services.
  • Provide direct clinical coverage as needed, including completing intakes and assessments, delivering crisis intervention, and managing a caseload.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a human services field.
  • Current LCSW or LCADC license required.
  • At least five years of experience providing mental health services.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred.
  • LCSW licensure is strongly preferred.
