Job Description

The Clinical Systems Adoption Specialist is a critical member of the Provider Experience & Digital Adoption Team (PEDAT), reporting to the Senior Manager of PEDAT. This role supports providers across BMC Main, South, Brighton, and Ambulatory sites by enhancing the clinician experience, reducing EHR-related burden, and driving adoption and optimization of Epic and related clinical systems.

The Specialist serves as a provider-facing Epic expert who delivers targeted support and training, collaborates with clinical and IT leaders, and leverages data (e.g., Epic Signal) to achieve measurable improvements in efficiency, documentation quality, and provider satisfaction. While at-the-elbow support is an important component, the role is equally focused on advancing adoption, developing optimization strategies, and sustaining long-term efficiency gains.

Position: Clinical Systems Adoption Specialist

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Adoption & Optimization

  • Partner with providers to improve efficiency and reduce EHR-related burden through data-driven optimization strategies.
  • Use Epic Signal and other tools to identify workflow challenges and recommend actionable improvements.

Provider Support & Training

  • Provide targeted at-the-elbow support during go-lives, upgrades, and optimization cycles — balancing immediate assistance with long-term adoption goals.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials, tip sheets, and best practice guides.

Feedback & Engagement

  • Serve as the “voice of the provider,” capturing frontline insights and ensuring they inform training and system design.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with providers, supporting satisfaction and engagement with clinical systems.
  • Promote PEDAT initiatives, driving participation in efficiency and adoption programs.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and report key outcomes such as reduced ticket burden, improved user satisfaction, and provider time saved.
  • Present findings to clinical and operational leaders, highlighting adoption successes and areas for improvement.
