About the role
Be the operational backbone of a busy service by providing high-quality administrative support to Nursing, Medical and Allied Health teams, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the unit.
Take ownership of workforce and payroll administration, including rostering, leave management, recruitment coordination, staff records, performance review administration and maintaining compliance documentation.
Drive quality and continuous improvement by supporting audits, accreditation activities, incident management, research projects and reporting that contribute to exceptional patient care.
Coordinate essential business operations through meeting administration, minute taking, equipment and supply management, finance reporting and maintaining accurate data across multiple hospital systems.
Join a collaborative multidisciplinary team where you'll build strong relationships across Mental Health, Homeless Health and Alcohol & Drug Services while providing flexible administrative support across the service.
About you
You have exceptional customer service skills and are passionate about delivering a professional, compassionate experience for patients, carers and colleagues.
You are confident using Microsoft Office and a range of electronic systems, with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
You are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, building positive relationships and handling enquiries professionally both in person and over the phone.
You thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with outstanding organisational, time management and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities as part of a collaborative team.
You demonstrate empathy, resilience and professionalism when supporting patients with diverse and complex needs and are committed to continuous learning and professional development.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
