About the role
Provide clinical trials troubleshooting support across CPU, Central Specimen Reception (CSR), and laboratory areas to ensure smooth study operations
Manage triage, data entry, and processing of clinical trial specimens, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Perform daily data quality checks, including request entry verification and sample storage compliance
Liaise with clinical sites to confirm demographic data, manage result requests, add-ons, reports, and resolve queries via phone and email
Oversee PK/PD frozen sample storage and shipments, including weekly/monthly dispatches, while maintaining compliance with ISO 15189 and GCP requirements
About you
Qualified in science/technical disciplines with relevant hands-on experience, including pathology, medical technology, or related clinical laboratory environments.
Previous experience supporting clinical trials, with an understanding of research processes, sample handling, and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of diagnostic and infectious sample shipment procedures, including Dangerous Goods requirements and safe transport protocols.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks, solve problems efficiently, and work independently within a collaborative team environment.
Proficient computer and technical skills, with the ability to quickly learn systems, maintain accurate records, and support day-to-day operational activities effectively

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
