We're seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor (RN) to provide clinical leadership, coordinate daily operations, and support nursing staff while ensuring an exceptional patient and family experience.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support nursing staff during assigned shifts to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
  • Coordinate staffing assignments, patient flow, and daily unit operations
  • Serve as a clinical expert, mentor, and resource for nurses and interdisciplinary team members
  • Promote Relationship-Based Care and champion an exceptional patient experience
  • Round on patients and families, proactively addressing concerns and ensuring care plans are communicated effectively
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and ancillary departments to optimize patient throughput
  • Facilitate timely admissions, transfers, and discharges while supporting hospital capacity initiatives
  • Lead shift huddles and participate in bed management and unit-based meetings
  • Monitor compliance with clinical documentation, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety, and evidence-based practice
  • Assist with staff development, performance feedback, and clinical orientation for new team members
  • Serve as a leader during emergency situations, utilizing sound clinical judgment and hospital chain-of-command processes

What You'll Bring

  • Two to five years of acute care Registered Nurse experience
  • Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred (required for PACU candidates)
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage patient flow, staffing, and daily clinical operations
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, and customer service skills
  • Commitment to mentoring staff and fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Ability to meet or obtain Clinical Nurse III (CN III) requirements within 90 days of hire, if applicable

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire
  • Active participation in a hospital committee or council preferred
  • RNC specialty certification preferred
