Job Description

The Clinical Supervisor works closely with Clinical Services Department staff and is responsible for managing the overall process, successful implementation and ongoing operation of all Clinical Services Departmental services and activities; coordinates and maximizes efficiency of Clinical Services and activities, including participant intakes, psycho-social assessments, general medical examinations, specialty medical and mental health examinations, inter-disciplinary functional capacity outcome (FCO) determination team meetings, appointment scheduling activities, and data entry functions.

What You'll Do:

  • Directly supervise Qualified Health Professionals conducting Clinical Assessments and Clinical Reassessments.
  • Monitor the referral process from the Human Resources Administration and ensure that maximal effort is made to outreach participants failing to comply.
  • Identify operational issues and facilitate corresponding process improvements in close collaboration with the Deputy Director of Clinical Services and appropriate Clinical Services Department staff.
  • Regularly observe and measure participant satisfaction to quantify overall quality of service.
  • Ensure that all activities are completed within set deadlines and timeframes as expected by the funder, seeing to it that all codes are entered, reporting is completed, and medical document and test results are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee, manage, and develop staff and new hires and monitor clinic staff performance to ensure that standards are consistently met. This includes always ensuring adequate staff coverage.
  • Keep Deputy Director of Clinical Services abreast of progress towards programmatic and contractual goals, as measured by performance management reports and other tracking methods.
  • Implement internal controls to confirm that work and production are consistent with regular policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Keep regular supervision meetings with direct reports to ensure expectations and performance feedback are continually communicated.
  • Coordinate staffing, services, performance management and equipment maintenance with the appropriate vendor administrators and leaders to ensure smooth daily operations at the assigned clinical service site.

  • A master’s degree from an accredited college in public health, health administration, nursing, social services, business administration, or a related field is required.Preference for those who have the following license or credentials:

o Physician Assistants (PA)

o Nurse Practitioners (NP)

o Registered Nurses (RN)

o Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW)

o Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)

o Physician (MD)

  • At least five (5) years of satisfactory professional experience in public health, workforce development, social services, vocational rehabilitation or related areas are required.
  • Experience working with public assistance recipients, the homeless, formally incarcerated people, and those affected by the challenges associated with poverty.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of strong management experience working in social work environment.
  • Bilingual (English Spanish) candidates preferred.

$80k-$84k
