London, The Wellington Hospital
Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: 7.5 hour shifts Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 8:00pm
Contract Type: Permanent

We’re looking for a Clinical Specialist Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Hybrid Functional Imaging & Nuclear Medicine team at The Wellington Hospital.

As a Clinical Specialist Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you'll play a key role within a highly skilled multidisciplinary imaging team, delivering a broad range of nuclear medicine, SPECT/CT and PET/CT services. Working in an advanced clinical environment, you'll contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient-centred care while supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the department. What you'll do:

  • Liaise with the Nuclear Medicine Manager, Superintendent and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure the smooth operational flow of patient studies.

  • Act as a key communication link between patients, consultants and the Nuclear Medicine department.

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals through intravenous injection and maintain competence in IV cannulation procedures.

  • Undertake a full range of Nuclear Medicine, SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanning procedures.

  • Perform in-vitro counting and radiopharmacy procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.

What you'll bring:

  • Post-qualification experience in Clinical Nuclear Medicine Imaging and radiopharmaceutical dispensing techniques.

  • Broad experience of nuclear medicine data processing.

  • Clinical experience using hybrid SPECT/CT gamma camera systems.

  • Clinical experience using PET/CT imaging systems.

  • Degree in Nuclear Medicine or relevant scientific discipline, with appropriate Nuclear Medicine imaging expertise.
