Advanced Bionics is seeking a bilingual (Dutch–French) Clinical Specialist to provide support to cochlear implant centers and hearing care professionals throughout Belgium and Luxembourg

In this role, you will work closely with ENT surgeons, audiologists, speech therapists and rehabilitation teams, supporting them with clinical expertise, product knowledge and training. Your work contributes directly to improving the quality of life of people with severe to profound hearing loss.

About Advanced Bionics

Advanced Bionics is a global leader in the development of advanced cochlear implant systems. Our mission is clear: “We strive to create a world where everyone enjoys the delight of hearing.”

Advanced Bionics has been part of the global hearing care group ‘Sonova Group’ since 2009. Sonova is one of the world’s leading providers of hearing care solutions, bringing together strong brands such as Phonak, Advanced Bionics and Unitron.

Within the Sonova ecosystem, Advanced Bionics works closely with Phonak to deliver integrated hearing solutions, combining cochlear implant technology with advanced hearing aid solutions for bimodal hearing.

We are a close-knit team of about ten colleagues supporting cochlear implant centers, acousticians and other hearing care professionals like speech and language therapists. Building long-term partnerships with clinicians and providing high-quality clinical support are central to our approach.

Your Role

As Clinical Specialist, you act as the clinical and technical point of contact for designated cochlear implant centers, acousticians and rehabilitation teams in Belgium and Luxembourg.

You will support professionals throughout the cochlear implant patient pathway, including candidate discussions, fitting and optimization of the sound processor, and professional education.

Your working time will more or less be divided into 60% field work (visits to CI centers and hearing professionals), 20% home office and 20% team meetings, internal trainings and professional events.

You will collaborate closely with the Benelux team and Regional Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and technical support to cochlear implant centers, acousticians and hearing care professionals.
  • Train audiologists and other professionals on cochlear implant systems, sound processors, fitting software, intra-operative measurements, accessories, apps and rehabilitation tools.
  • Support clinics with processor fitting, troubleshooting and optimization when needed.
  • Deliver on-site and online training sessions for healthcare professionals.
  • Support patient information sessions, CI candidate events and professional referral activities.
  • Contribute to relationship management with CI centers and hearing professionals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in internal systems and follow quality and compliance procedures.
  • Represent Advanced Bionics within the Benelux cochlear implant and audiology community.

Your work helps strengthen collaboration with clinics and ultimately improves outcomes for CI patients.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audiology
  • Fluent in Dutch and French, with proficient in English
  • Experience in audiology and hearing care
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A service-oriented and collaborative mindset
  • Comfortable working in a clinical and technology-driven environment
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Belgium and Luxembourg
  • Able to work independently while remaining closely connected to the team

Experience with cochlear implants is a strong advantage.
Experience with Phonak hearing solutions and/or bimodal fittings is considered a plus.
