Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this Clinical Social Worker role at the award-winning Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, you will work with patients hospitalized on the Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and their families. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the mental health challenges faced by young patients, and the interventions used to aid healing. Patients are hospitalized with acute symptoms and behaviors related to autism spectrum, mood disorders, thought disorders and personality disorders. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the psychological, social, emotional, and basic needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Implement interventions tailored to the needs of children and adolescents.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Plan discharge from hospital, including advocating for patients' rights and coordinating with community resources.

CSW 2 Salary range: $51.18 - $61.14 HourlyCSW 3 Salary range: $55.63 - $66.48 Hourly


Job Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Social Welfare from an accredited institution.
  • Clinical Social Worker license eligible (LCSW eligibility within 1 year) or licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Experience in child and adolescent mental health.
  • Knowledge of community resources for persons with mental illness, understanding of mental health systems.
  • Experience or special interest in working with persons with autism preferred, including implementing communication strategies and behavior management plans.


As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
