What You'll Do

  • Perform comprehensive clinical review of incoming malignant hematology referrals.
  • Prioritize referrals according to established disease-specific triage criteria.
  • Ensure patients are matched with the appropriate malignant hematology subspecialist.
  • Facilitate expedited scheduling of urgent and high-acuity cases.
  • Coordinate collection of required medical records and diagnostic information prior to consultation.
  • Serve as a clinical liaison between referring providers, scheduling teams, and treating clinicians.
  • Improve referral throughput and reduce administrative burden on, clinic nurses, physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Support timely patient access and enhance the overall patient and referring provider experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Required.
  • Experience: Three to five years of nursing experience, required. Two years of experience in care of targeted patient population; experience in a broad range of clinical situations or settings, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: RN, required.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
