Clinical Research Summer Associate

The Clinical Research team is seeking a graduate-level student to assist with project and operational support while gaining hands-on experience in clinical research processes, study management, data quality initiatives, and research operations. This position will run from May 2027 – August 2027. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

Main Objective:

Support clinical research team through participation in scientific publications, study management activities, and process improvement initiatives. Contribute to the efficient execution of research projects by assisting with study coordination, research documentation, scientific communications, and operational support for ongoing clinical research studies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support scientific publication activities, including literature reviews, manuscript development, abstracts, posters, and publication tracking.
  • Assist with clinical study management activities, including study documentation, project tracking, meeting coordination, and maintenance of study-related records.
  • Participate in scientific evidence generation initiatives consistent with departmental research strategies and objectives.
  • Monitor study progress and assist with the review of project deliverables, timelines, and operational activities.
  • Collaborate with investigators, research sites, and cross-functional teams to support ongoing clinical research studies.
  • Develop and implement research processes, departmental guidelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support research operations projects and special initiatives as assigned, adapting to evolving departmental priorities.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, presentations, and scientific updates for internal stakeholders and research teams.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Enrolled in a Master’s program required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
  • Experience conducting clinical or biomedical research preferred.
  • Strong writing skills required, preferably including experience with scientific and/or grant writing.
  • Publication and literature review experience preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to drive rigorous, well-communicated deliverables.
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
  • Good team player, able to build trust relationships within cross-functional teams.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook; Word and Excel. Intermediate proficiency with PowerPoint applications.
